Get to know Brian

Brian Evans has dedicated his life to service. He is a loving family man who strives to build the best future for our district and Indiana. Brian spends his time helping businesses big and small, local governments and economic developers solve problems across the state. With a robust background in the military, government, and nonprofit organizations, he is the best equipped to represent our district in the State House. Brian doesn’t just want a better state for his community and family, he has made it his career and life mission.

Brian Evans is a dutiful constitutional conservative. He believes Indiana needs leaders who are thoughtful and exercise good judgment.  Leaders who will fight for critical issues like education, agriculture, childcare, public safety, healthcare reform, and protecting Hoosier taxpayers from government waste.

As a proud Hoosier, Brian has always believed in the American dream of working hard, owning a home, and raising a family. However, it pains him to see this reality slipping away. Between inflation, rising home costs, and out-of-control health care, hardworking Hoosiers are bearing the burden. Bad federal policies and special interests are the cause of many of these, and it is up to the state to counteract them.

“I have dedicated my life to serving our country and state. Now I am asking you to allow me to serve our district and represent us in the State House as our next State Representative.”

Military

Brian enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2013 where he served on active duty for four and a half years. His service in the Marine Corps Infantry eventually took him to Washington D.C., where he served on a special duty assignment at Marine Barracks Washington. Here, Brian had the privilege of leading Marines in services at the White House, Pentagon, and Arlington National Cemetery where he learned a deeper understanding of service, duty, and sacrifice.

Brian currently has the honor of serving in the Indiana National Guard. He enlisted in 2022, where he is fulfilling a six-year commitment. Brian enjoys having the opportunity to serve both our country and state, as well as lead soldiers.

Family

With deep roots in Hancock County going back five generations, Brian was born and raised in Greenfield. Brian’s grandfather, Gary Evans, served on the Greenfield city council and has family members serving the city as well. Leaving Indiana to serve in the Marine Corps, Brian met his wife Sarah in Washington D.C. while being stationed there. Sarah, originally from Hamburg Germany, fell in love with Indiana on her many visits during Brian’s military leave. Brian and Sarah decided to build their home in Greenfield and raise their family. They have been blessed with three sons with the youngest born this year.

Education

While working full-time at the White House and starting a family, Brian completed his Bachelor of Science in Public Administration with a Minor in History from Liberty University. While serving in the Marine Corps, he completed numerous schools for his field and several leadership schools.

A graduate of Greenfield-Central High School in 2012, Brian played football and ran track. A member of several school organizations such as FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, and the Best Buddies Program.
