Taxes should be as low as responsibly possible, as fair as possible, and only collected to fulfill the legitimate function of government. Every investment must hold up under scrutiny and show that it is in the best interests of Hoosier taxpayers not just special interest groups.

Our law enforcement and first responders work tirelessly to serve our communities. But, with our growing population, they are getting stretched thin more than ever before. Our departments need resources to help them expand and compete in this competitive job market. As well as recruiting qualified candidates. As your next Representative, I’ll be a strong advocate for our local Police and Firefighters!

As a father of three young children I know what it’s like to get hit with an outrageous hospital bill. Between a lack of price transparency and inaccurate billing practices, taking care of you and your family’s health can leave you broke. As your next State Representative, I’ll be your strongest advocate in getting healthcare costs down as well as continuing to push price transparency that will hold people accountable to patients.

Growing up, I enjoyed helping on my friend’s family farms and participating in FFA. I learned the important role that agriculture plays in our state and country. But now, I see our local farmers are fighting an uphill battle with the cost it takes to grow crops and compete with larger companies. Between labor, taxes, and foreign influence their job becomes harder than it already is. They need our support more than ever. As your next Representative, I will support our local Farmers in Madison and Hancock Counties!

As a father, I want the best education possible for my children and together we can work to achieve the best education for all of our children in House District 53. A parent’s right to choose what is best for their children is sacred and their right to choose where and how they are educated is very important to me personally, ultimately Parents, not government bureaucrats are the best positioned to decide their child’s education needs, if elected I will defend your rights! Education is the most important part of the State Budget, as your next Representative I’ll be a strong advocate for our local Hancock and Madison County Schools!

With my career in workforce development, I have seen the investments our state has made in providing recourse for childcare and workforce programs. Whether it’s up-skilling adult workers so they can make more money, preparing our soon-to-be graduates for the workforce, or, implementing quality childcare so parents have the option to be a two-income household. I will make sure these resources are getting to our district and strengthen our economy. We must prepare our workforce for the ever-changing economy. I will be a tireless advocate for House District 53 to ensure we aren’t left behind.

Our communities are a desirable place to live, and it shows with our increased population. I will be an advocate for our local governments and provide them the tools they need to meet Hancock and Madison counties growing population and infrastructure needs. House District 53 overlaps I-69 and I-70, as your next Representative I’ll be an advocate for our district to ensure these critical routes are repaired and expanded in response to growth and work with local stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

Working for a non-profit that helps veterans transition to civilian life, being a Marine Corps veteran myself, and currently serving in the Indiana Army National Guard, I have seen the different challenges facing our veteran community. Between mental health, career development, family care, healthcare, and more, there is more work to be done to support our military, veterans, and their families.

Like all Marines, I was trained to be proficient with a rifle and to understand the tool we use. And like all service members, I raised my right hand and swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution and the rights it gives us. As your next State Representative, I will protect your constitutional right to keep and bear arms for the protection of your family and property!
